3 inspired and motivated:
In kindergarten, our teacher gave us
a Lassie book, and a Roy Rogers, Cowboy book.
these were largely picture books,
and we don't remember her giving any of the other children books.
these were the first books we remember owning,
and we KNOW that we reread the Roy Rogers book,
funny.
we don't remember the teacher's name.

I adored Enid Blyton books!
And yes, till date I read them again & again & again
I've always loved Le Petit Prince...I've read that book so many times!
