People deserve first chances and second chances. Sometimes third chances, depending on the circumstances. But never fourth chances. By the time it comes to fourth chances, you are the one being played. In my experience, there is never an exception for fourth chances. You deserve better.

Absolutely correct, because if a forth chance is given, there will undoubtedly be more and more. The granter of such chances has become a doormat, unable to say "enough" and rescue themselves from such abuse. Their belief that it is noble to keep granting more chances is just a cover for the deeper belief that somehow they deserve such bad treatment. I have learned to set limits and draw lines, it is essential to living healthy and loving yourself!
